Games have always been a long term passion of mine and writing another, combine the two and you are looking at my perfect career. In 2004 I co-founded a very successful PES4 league in Pro Evo Network, in which I found myself handling the main content for the site. Deciding it was time to start building up a portfolio of work I also started writing for news site www.ICGamers.com and one or two other sites, covering many news posts, reviews and articles. After a successful couple of years with Pro Evo Network the site saw a few radical changes; starting with the switch to Complete Gaming Network. As had been my experience with games journalism I was happy when the chance to lead the team of writers came up, and I set about changing the direction of our content. It was decided that CGN as a single site was trying too hard to be all things to all men and was this year split into two sites, an Xbox community and a PS3 community with their content specifically aimed at the community aspect. That is where This Is My Joystick comes in as the new home for the good work we had started on CGN’s main page, offering myself and the other writers the chance to push our content further than we would have been able to under the old structure.

So here I am now as the lead Editor of this site, leading a great team of individuals looking to bring you opinion-based games content. As for other work, I currently also have a monthly gig writing for www.nometet.com.

Elsewhere in life I am an avid Liverpool fan, and I ‘heart’ Zombies, Spider-man, and the Guyver.

Favourite Genre:
Jack of all trades, master at most of them! Big soft spot for Western RPG’s, stealth based games and tactical shooters. Could add fighters to that list as I have a massive Street Fighter IV addiction.

Cold and calculated.
