The success of the video game industry has never been a surprise to me. Since a very early age, I’ve found myself spellbound by stories from far off, enchanted places, and engaging with versatile characters with quick wit and intrepid relationships. Though the words on the page of a book reach out and suck you in, bringing full three dimensions to its collective cast, and the movie industry dazzles you with mind blowing special effects and epic, thought driven monologues, my personal experience with computer games from all formats has continued to inspire me. In addition to gaming, I am also actively interested in creative writing and am currently working on the first draft of a Science Fiction novel, my second novel this year. As a lifelong ambition, I would love to have one of my stories published, but I have also considered a career within the gaming industry and often wondered about the possibilities. I am grateful for my new position at This Is My Joystick and hope that my articles and reviews are both helpful and insightful to the readers of this website.
In my social life, I spend time with my lovely girlfriend, going to the cinema and abusing my Unlimited Cineworld pass, reading and writing. I play computer games a little bit, as well …
Favourite Genre:
Probably the Point and Click Adventure as it’s the genre I have the most experience with, and features my favourite game of all time, The Secret of Monkey Island. That said, I am a huge FPS and RPG fan and also can’t resist a few games on Peggle and Bejeweled!
