Bio:
Hi, my name is Stephen and I’m one of the privileged staffers here at TIMJ. One of the main reasons I play video games is because out of all the things I remember about the old country (Nigeria), my clearest memories are about gaming. I’ve always had an interest in gaming and writing, but I had never thought of doing both together until late 2008 when I discovered gaming podcasts.
My earliest gaming memory is playing Lode Runner but unfortunately I don’t remember when or which console. I consider myself to be a ‘hardcore gamer’ although that isn’t evident in my XBL gamerscore. I joined TIMJ as a means to reach out to other gamers and share my experiences and opinions. I’m a huge fan of co-op and multiplayer so if I have a game you want to play either on, just send me a tweet or e-mail.
I believe the age of games is dawning, even more so when I see them being main talking points on social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. I also think its only a matter of time before they become a respected form of storytelling and when that happens, I want to be there writing about it.
I have many other interests like playing football, watching TV shows like Heroes and Smallville as well as an undying love for Anime.
Favourite Genre:
I’ve played many different genres like firsts person shooters, 3rd person shooters, fighting games, open world, tower defence, strategy games, JRPGs and football sims. I wouldn’t say I have a favourite but I feel mostly comfortable playing first person shooters.
Gaming Style:
100% ruthless. Prisoners don’t exist on the battlefield.
Special Move:
Vengeance. I don’t enjoy dying.
Most Common Quote:
“No way!”
