Think you guys sum up everyone's thoughts on this game. Let's hope they suprise us, my only fear is that I cannot recall any game that has been delayed so much that turned out to be any good.

Much like yourself Neil, I've been keeping a close eye on this since its inception, and it's just got to the point now that I'm actually so bored with the waiting that frankly, I've pretty much lost interest. Ironically, the only reason I'm still interested in this game at all is to see what reception it gets when it does get released and how it's finally turned out!

And here are my reasons why.

There are developers and there are DEVELOPERS. Case in point: Remedy are no Quantic Dream - whereas David Cage and co seem to have taken their time in crafting a true experience for players, Remedy seem to have struggled and stumbled their way along, patching as they go, never a good sign (first it was PC and Xbox360, then it was PC only due to the sheer processing power needed for the realtime weather environments - which at the time were I believe a unique selling point of the game, yet were soon overtaken and used by other games now long gone) and now this is going to be made available as serialised DLC? Nah... i'm done.

As you yourself mentioned, it's no doubt to savvy business accumen and I can see the point in putting this out there in such a format (one presumes that like the PS3's 'Siren: Blood Curse' it will also be made available as a physical product? - I don't go for this 'digital is the way' B.S. - I like something I can hold in my hands - stop sniggering at the back there) but if like me you've followed the development of this game from the beginning, you've got to admit it really doesn't help fight its corner does it? It's like a fish flailing wildly out of water.

My advice? Stick with 'Heavy Rain' - 'Alan Wake' may turn out to be a passable gaming experience, but as for the game they were touting it loudly to be? That died a long time ago.

Well, I have been told to expect to like this game, although personally at the moment I am not entirely sold. I shall be watching with interest, though, and no doubt be purchasing. Looking forward to it, now.
