Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Trailer is Awesome, LOS Ultimate Edition headed to PC in August

Dracula has risen once more, this time on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Konami’s Pre-E3 show had a load of stuff on the original bat-man’s latest escapades.

For a bite of the action check out the incredible new trailer. Yowzers!

On top of the release of the new game, the original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is headed to PC, with all the extras. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition brings the action of MercurySteam’s co-Kojima handled whip-snapper to your desktop.

The complete package will involve The Reverie and Resurrection DLC, which are arguably the most essential parts of Gabriel Belmont’s moody crusade.

The game will run in crisp 1080p HD visuals at 60 fps so all that foggy black and red should look ultra nice so long as your rig can handle it.

Whatever, let’s get a look at this thing. Here’s a nice trailer;

When I think about the Castlevania franchise one thing always comes to mind. Who the heckers is building all these fucking great big castles for Dracula, because…

A) That’s an insane architectural genius at work right there and no doubt only an army of highly skilled builders could build a mega structure on a mountain. Think that caliber of workforce would go work for a smelly unemployed shut-in deep in the woods? No chance.

B) Dracula’s S/NES era minions are always sniveling little goblin things, flying medusa/spaghetti heads, fish fellas, and a bunch of slathering growly things incapable of crayon colouring within the lines. No way they built that thing. Get the fudge out-of-town, mister!

C) It’s always falling down at the end of each game. This obvious design fault intrigues me. Hmmm.

Anyway, there’s also a 1.5 in the LOS saga out on 3DS right now. Castlevania: Lords of Shadows – Mirror of Fate does an okay job of bringing back that metroidvania feel of the classic series’ entries for those looking for another Belmont based adventure.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Ultimate Edition will be available on Steam first on August 27 while a retail version is out on August 30 in the EU.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2 is out on PS3 and Xbox 360 later in the year.
