Golden Joystick Awards 2012: The 30th Annual Gaming Awards

On Friday 26th of October, This Is My Joystick will once again be sending a team to the red carpet of the Golden Joystick Awards. This year’s event will be the fourth consecutive year that we have been able to report live from the only gaming awards voted for by the gaming public.

It’s the Golden Joystick’s 30th anniversary, and this year sees a mighty sixteen categories, with more than 150 titles deserving of your votes. Rather than scoff at the tastes of the great British public next week, this is your chance to make sure your voice is heard.

The categories are:

  • Ultimate Game of the Year

Aaaaand the winner is?

If people can get behind Rage Against The Machine and help them beat Simon Cowell’s domination of the Christmas Number 1 slot, then I’m sure gamers can unite to ensure that this year we have some truly worthy winners, and not just another sequel sweeping the board.
