Stranger’s Wrath and Munch’s Oddysee on Vita “very soon” says Facebook page

As reported by videogamer.com, we might not be waiting that much longer for the HD ports of Stranger’s Wrath and Munch’s Oddysee to make their appearance on the Playstation Vita.
Oddworld Inhabitants, the official Facebook page for the Oddworld series, hinted at imminent news, stating:
“Oddworld on PlayStation VITA…
Both Stranger’s Wrath HD and Munch’s Oddysee HD are coming to VITA very soon, we just need to get them finished up and through Sony QA before we can release them.
But I don’t think you’ll have to hold your breathes too long
[sic]”
Both titles are being ported by the Oddworld franchise’s new developer Just Add Water, who have already given the HD treatment to Stranger’s Wrath on PS3 late last year. Our own man Ray played it, and rather liked it.
As someone who missed out on both titles the first time around (despite being a huge fan of the prior Abe-centric Oddworld games on PSOne), I have to admit that I’m particularly looking forward to sampling the oddball FPS, Stranger’s Wrath, such is its high standing amongst the gaming population.
Plus, after the undercooked disappointment that was Resistance: Burning Skies, a decent shooter is just what the system needs right now, as well as… well, any software, really, let’s face it…

While I've never played Strangers Wrath myself, I do know it as a cult classic and have no qualms it'll do well on Vita of its ported well. I agree with your final statement tho boss, the Vita needs games. What it really needs is unique IPs and exclusives. The DS had Brain Training and Professor Layton. Vita needs to stop cribbing off it's big brother console for games because while these will attract current PS3 owners to part with cash, it gives other console owners and less hardcore gamers little insentive to follow suit. Exclusive IP makes a console desirable and essential and with the Vits lacking much of this (well much quality of it anyway) its lifespan is in question.
