:-D I loved reading that! I'm 33 and still very much addicted. My love affair with the management sim also came on the spectrum and 2 games stand out: Kenny Dalglish football manager which was great fun alone or the immense Brian Clough's which incorporated a board and player cards. It was a mix of fm and monopoly with chance style scenarios that robbed you of your best player in a car crash, for example.

Myself and my best friend used to spend hours in my room, board layer out on the floor playing this and trying to swipe a top player from the "Auction pile" Those were the days :-)

As a fellow male in his thirties, I too can confirm all of the above to be true.
I have lost count of the amount of long, dark, cold and wet winter nights lost to these games, not to mention very tired mornings because I just had to "Finish the season" before going to bed :twisted:

And after the old 'finish the season' there's pre-season to look at signing some players. Then there's the friendlies to see how they're settling in. Then it's 6.30am and your alarm is going off!
