This Is My Joystick TV: Episode 1

After teasing it the other day with an absolute gem of a blooper reel, here it is proper folks… the first ever episode of This Is My Joystick TV, featuring myself, Joe Staley with co-host and site Staff Writer Trent Pyro.

Thought it was a good watch and very well presented for the most part.

well good man. next time we’ll work it out with more structure though yeh? haha it was fun filming that!
As I said before, the potential for this project is astronomic. It’s unlike anything I’ve seen before on an independent gaming website and the time and effort spent editing this and working on the logo, backdrops and the like must have taken ages. Major kudos for this Joe! Really great work!
However, I do feel that a reduced runtime may help the show’s development but like Andy C said, not a throwaway runtime like 3 minutes, maybe something more like 10 – 15. I also feel it would be good to have a few features on there, perhaps implementing something such as snippets of news, or some favorites from Neil’s Deals, even tasters of latest reviews. Just be nice to pack in the show with a set format each episode, and then pack it to the full with TIMJ content, but also talking about a set subject matter, such as the best offline co-op games or horror games.
I really like this, and I honestly think that this is as exciting a prospect as TIMJ has seen to date. I advise you all to stay tuned to the site as we definitely have a lot more on the way.

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback, it has been great to read all the comments and the personal messages on MSN and twitter, thanks so much.
The next episode is obviously horror games as mentioned in this episode, and I have made a few changes from all the feedback.
Episode 2 will now have:
- Both me and Trent presenting.
- 10-15 Minute runtime.
- Short, but to the point reviews.
- More game footage, less watching us play.
- Special Conclusion Endings. (Can’t say too much more as it will give it all away. All I will say is that it’s nothing like you’ve ever seen on an independant gaming website ever!)
Anyone who would like to take part in the next episode is welcome to. Only downside… I live in Lincoln and all filming takes place there lol.
Anyway, in a few months time… expect Episode 2!
