Disney Infinity Revealed

All aboard the money train!

Not to be out done by the videogame + action figure success of Skylanders, Disney follows suit with the newly revealed Disney Infinity. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is just a complete clone. Disney Infinity will feature a campaign mode as well as supporting open world user-created content including mini-games.

Power-ups will be handled a little differently, rather than permanently gaining an ability, you will instead swap out (or stack up to two) token discs.

Another nice bonus is the multi-player feature, which offers both 2 player split-screen and four player online for both campaign and toy box mode.
Take a peak at the trailer below:

The first few worlds will be based on The Incredibles, Monsters University and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Disney Infinity is set for a June release on multiple platforms including the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and iOS devices.

The starter pack will debut at $74.99. Expansion packs start at $34.99, three-figure packs will go for $29.99, individual figures for $12.99 and power disc packs will be $4.99. And yes, the figures will be cross-platform and fully functioning toys apart from console use.
