Team17 gives us the nickel tour as new trailer for The Escapists The Walking Dead tackles Woodbury

Anyone that knows me at all knows that I’m a sucker for any kind of zombie fiction, and Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead is firmly one of my favourites. I’m a massive fan of the comics, both TV shows and, of course, Telltale’s games, so related news is always a delight to me, especially when it involves Woodbury…

Team17 recently announced that they were teaming up with Skybound Entertainment to give their indie hit, The Escapists, a Zombie themed makeover. The upcoming game allows you to manage Rick Grimes and company in iconic locales from the brutal comic series, such as Hershel Greene’s Farm and the infamous Prison; places where the survivors find momentary respites in their bloody and shocking journey.

It’s no surprise then, that The Escapists The Walking Dead will also take you to the oppressive town of Woodbury, home of the infamous Governor; news which is sure to delight and terrify fellow fans of the franchise in equal measure. Check it out in the trailer below:

I passed on The Escapists with the original release, but this might just be the thing to draw me in, especially as both franchises seem such a natural fit…
