Despite being published in other territories by Warner Bros. Interactive, Namco Bandai will once again be picking up Australian and New Zealand distribution duties when CD Projekt RED’s latest Witcher instalment, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, hits shelves in 2014.
The beloved Action-RPG series, which follows the bloody (and sometimes sexy) adventures of Geralt of Rivia, is set to take a more ambitious turn with a game world apparently “30 times larger” than that of previous iteraitons, and the developers are reckoning it might just be bigger than Skyrim.
Gerard Noonan, SVP of Namco Bandai Games Asia Pacific, said:

The Witcher series is one of the industries most revered video game franchises and with the power of the new generation of consoles we expect CD Projekt RED will take the series to even greater heights.”
It’s fair to say that I enjoyed my limited time with the series when I reviewed the second instalment on 360 in 2012, though my experience was hampered by a corrupt file save towards the end. Despite that, I played enough to reckon that I and other fantasy RPG fans will be in for a treat once The Witcher 3 arrives on PC, PS4 and Xbox One later this year.
