Wii U to have large playable presence at Eurogamer Expo

September 23, 2012, Author: Ray Willmott

With Nintendo officially confirmed to be at the UK Trade Show, they’ve announced they’ll be bringing their brand new console with them and making an assortment of titles playable for the very first time.

Wii U’s presence was extremely limited at Gamescom, the largest consumer gaming event in the world. Alongside Warner Brothers, Ubisoft handled all the exposure for the system.

As of this week, however, Wii U will have its largest presence at a trade show to date. For the first time in the UK, the following titles will be playable on Wii U

  • New Super Mario Brothers U
  • Nintendo Land
  • Pikmin 3
  • Rayman Legends
  • Tekken Tag Tournament 2
  • ZombiU

Aside from Pikmin 3, all of the above have been confirmed as launch titles for Wii U, and so this presents an amazing opportunity for would-be buyers to sample the system and what it has to offer.

Could there be more? Most definitely. With titles such as Assassin’s Creed 3, FIFA 13, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 – all Wii U launch titles – Aliens Colonial Marines and The Cave announced for the show, who’s to say Nintendo won’t show off how these games work with their new system? More information as we get it.

If you can’t get to Eurogamer though, don’t worry. Nintendo will be taking Wii U on a UK-Wide tour following the expo. For more information, check out Nintendo Events

In addition to Wii U, Eurogamer Expo will offer UK-first plays for the likes of Gears of War: Judgement, GRID 2, Castlevania Mirror of Fate, God of War Ascension and more. For the full list click here
