September 13, 2012, Author: Ray Willmott
Nintendo have unveiled further details of Wii U launch plans today.
Wii U will launch in North America on November 18th. Like Japan, there will be a home and premium pack. However, unlike Japan, the NA Premium bundle will feature a lot more, including, as predicted, Nintendo Land bundled in.
Differences between the NA and JP Premium Pack include the sensor bar packed in, gamepad charging cradle and gamepad/console stands.
Also, those who purchase the Premium pack will get points for every download. These can be stored up and used to purchase things at a later date.
It has also been announced that the EU will get hold of Wii U on November 30th, although no price has been announced yet. Although, Gamestation have mentioned a £250 price point for Premium and ShopTo have put the price up at £279.95
Reggie also talked about NintendoTVii. This will enable users to interact with the Gamepad, watch their shows and mark their favorites. User profiles can also share their favorites with others. Another unique feature allows users to watch a show on TV and then interact with ‘moments’ on the pad, tweeting about them, updating Facebook or using MiiVerse.
Other major announcements include Bayonetta 2 as a Wii U Exclusive. Monster Hunter 3 coming to EU on Wii U and 3DS in March and will have cross-platform play. Also, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be appearing at launch, and will support multi-user play: one on the TV and one on the Gamepad.
More exciting details to follow.
