E3 2010: Nintendo 3DS Hands-on

There were a lot of big things at E3. New games, new hardware, and mountains more. However, Nintendo’s unveiling of the new ‘3DS’ completely stole the show in more ways than one. Was this based on the sheer genius of the product itself, Nintendo’s marketing prowess, or some other reason? Read on to find out!

E3 2010: Hunted: The Demon’s Forge Preview

Hunted: The Demon’s Forge is another title coming from Bethesda Softworks. Set in a medeival time, you play as one of two characters: A fetching elf archer, or a skinhead brute of a warrior. Let me start off by saying, that this game is looking ridiculous! No, I don’t mean stupid ridiculous, I mean awesome ridiculous.

E3 2010: Brink Hands On

While we were not allowed the luxury of bringing in cameras or other recording equipment to the actual screen, what we saw was truly a sight to behold. ‘Brink’, Splash Damage and Bethesda Softwork’s new and upcoming sci-fi shooter blew our minds. Set somewhere in the future, this is a classic tale of the government vs the people. The upper class and governmental ranked people have begun taking powers away from the lower class, and not with compassion, to say the least. The demo instructor told us, “The upper class people sort of see the lower class people as just wanting to destroy everything they’ve worked for, while the lower class people see the upper class people as tyrannical”.

E3 2010: A closer look at MMA Supremacy

505 Games came to E3 with their new game ‘Supremacy’. They were kind enough to get us into their demo theatre, and hopefully my preview lives up to expectations. So without further ado, here we go with ‘Supremacy’.

E3 Expo 2010 Show Floor Live Text Feed

Welcome to our live feed for E3 2010. This is where I (Jacob), will be notifying you readers on what’s happening, the second it happens. Being that this is the biggest event of the year in terms of gaming, you won’t want to miss a second. So don’t go away, or you may miss something big! Comment below and I’ll respond if you have any questions as to what E3 is like, or anything of that nature.

Beginnings of E3: Story of a young journalist

So, some of you readers may be wondering why I haven’t posted in a while. Well, that’s because for the past two weeks I’ve been doing naught but prepare for this years upcoming E3 expo. It feels like it’s been ages though, with all the happenings over the past two weeks, and that is why this article exists; to share with you my personal experience of it all. A lot of people may be unaware as to what goes on in preparation for E3, or other major gaming conventions, so I thought this would be an interesting way to shed some light on the subject. Before I begin though, I’d like to thank everyone here at TIMJ, but first and foremost; Neil. You’ve been wonderful help in getting my credentials passed and kinks worked out. You’re a good bloke.

Anyway, enough of that, let’s get on to the feature.

TIMJ at E3!

Yes! It’s true, TIMJ will really have a small presence at the biggest gaming expo on the planet. Thanks to the help of the ever industrious Neil, our list of firsts continues to grow as I’m pleased to announce that we’ll be sending young Jacob to the greatest show on earth.

Details of how we’ll be able to cover the proceedings have yet to be decided, after all we’re talking about one guy in a huge showroom, but we’ll have more news on the event closer to the time.
